Laboratories
Haematology is constantly evolving. A sign of a professional approach is the immediate response to new trends and published scientific findings. The laboratory complex of the Institute of Hematology and Hematology is guided by this approach. Our aim is to provide the best possible service at the best possible quality. We are concerned with ensuring the full satisfaction of our clientele and the benefit of our patients. We strive for quality, comprehensiveness and availability of laboratory services.
The complement of the laboratories of the Institute of Clinical Medicine consists of individual laboratories belonging to the clinical section, the transfusiology section and the science and research section. Their heads manage and are responsible for the processes related to the performance of laboratory tests and their clinical interpretation. The Head of the Complement of Laboratories of the IHBT, in collaboration with them, is responsible for the management of the quality management system and its maintenance and development through the Quality Manager LC.
The level of implementation and adherence to established procedures and standard requirements is very high. This is true both for the quality management system and for the professional activities of LC's cutting-edge and often unique laboratories. This is ensured by the high professional competence of individuals at all levels of LCs activities, their knowledge of the principles of the quality management system and their application in practice.
Compliance with the established procedures and requirements of the standard is verified by a system of internal audits carried out by highly experienced auditors. Identified non-conformities and identified corrective actions are addressed through a very robust non-conformity management and corrective action system. A functional continuous improvement system is set up within LC.
Review, interpretation and release of test results are performed by qualified, competent personnel. The quality of test results is regularly verified by validation/verification of procedures, servicing of equipment, proper metrological continuity, internal quality control system for testing, monitoring of environmental parameters, etc. External control of results is ensured by regular participation in the ECE.
Complement of laboratories continuously advocates independent and impartial assessment of professional competence according to ČSN EN ISO 15189, the application of which is verified by the Czech Institute for Accreditation. The test methods within the scope of accreditation are defined by the Annex to the Certificate of Accreditation in the current version, which is available on the IHBT website. The first accreditation was granted in 2009.
