Hospitalization
Recommended list of things to bring to the inpatient ward
TO PACK
- Washable slippers;
- Pyjamas or nightgowns (expect to change at least 3 times a week);
- Underwear (expect to change every day);
- socks (elastic band must not pinch);
- recommended toiletries: soft toothbrush, toothpaste containing aminfluoride (e.g. Elmex, Meridol), mouthwash or Tantum Verde solution, shower gel, unscented body lotion (e.g. Lactovit, Excipial, Nivea, Dove, Mixa), lip balm (e.g. Labello, deer tallow), hand cream (Mixa, Nivea, Neutrogena), nail scissors or clippers, electric razor;
- paper tissues;
- possibility to bring a computer, CD player, Wi-Fi internet connection (we cannot guarantee compatibility with every program or device);
- Books - new or from home library only;
- newspapers and magazines, pencil, notepad;
- bring your disability certificate (if you have one), health insurance card, ID card, special medications taken;
- drinks (mineral and bottled water, juice, Coca Cola, etc.) and food according to dietary recommendations;
- instant coffee, Turkish coffee (freshly ground), your favourite tea (not herbal);
- disposable wrapped sweets and chewing gum, biscuits without filling;
- During your hospitalization, you have the option of having freshly cooked meals brought from home, but you must discuss the ingredients with the nutrition therapist in advance;
- if you are a supporter of alternative dietary guidelines, or do not consume gluten or dairy products - we recommend to arrange, in consultation with the nutritional therapist, to bring food from home, as we have limited options in this regard, we will provide normal standard full meals and diets according to the doctor's order.
NOTICE
- Cotton linen is recommended;
- Beverages are recommended in smaller containers so that they can be drunk within 24 hours of first opening; for hygiene reasons, they cannot be kept longer, after which time the beverage must be discarded (similarly, freshly cooked food brought in must be consumed the same day);
- the use of interdental brushes and disposable shaving aids is not recommended due to the risk of bleeding/possibility of infection.
DO NOT BRING
- cloth tissues;
- jewellery;
- if possible, leave your house keys, credit cards and large amounts of money at home.
