Postgraduate education of scientific staff

IHBT is intensively involved in the training of postgraduate students. Postgraduate scientific training is organized in cooperation with the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University (UK) and other university departments. Doctoral students and diploma students are trained at individual departments of the Institute and their dissertation, master's, diploma and bachelor's theses are supervised by experts in cooperation with the supervisors of doctoral students and diploma students. Some undergraduate students from the Institute of Higher Education with the required qualifications are members of the departmental councils for postgraduate scientific education of various faculties of the Charles University and some act as supervisors of doctoral students and diploma holders.

Undergraduate medical teaching

Teaching of medicine is conducted within the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Haematology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine (ICEH) and has been carried out since 2003 under the direction of the Director of ICEH, who is the Director of the Institute of Hematology. This joint workplace of the Institute of Hematology and the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University has made a significant contribution to the improvement of undergraduate teaching of haematology and transfusion medicine in the form of seminars and internships. Teaching is also provided in English.
