March 2024 - Conference of PhD students of the IHBT

On Friday, March 15, 2024, a conference of PhD students of the IHBT was held. At the beginning, the director of the institute Mgr. Iva Trsová with the award for the best work of a young researcher in 2023.

The conference was attended - with one exception - by all PhD students of the Institute. A total of 21 papers were presented , of which three short papers presented the theses of new PhD projects, the others presented the results of their own scientific work.

The prize for the best lecture was awarded to Mgr. Marek Jedlička for his paper Glutaminase is essential for cell effector functions of expanded NK cells. The evaluation committee highlighted the high level of most of the presentations, in particular of all PhD students who received awards in previous years. Their presentations were again this year a great inspiration for younger colleagues. It is gratifying to see how the IHBT has established working groups that carry out cutting-edge research at national and international level and organically nurture young scientists capable of defending their research outputs internally and in the wider scientific community.
