Ambulance and day care center

The outpatient department provides hematological care to a wide range of patients - from new patients, to patients in long-term outpatient follow-up, patients undergoing intensive hematological treatment, including patients after hematopoietic cell transplantation (bone marrow), to patients hospitalized in another facility sent for consultation for specialist examination.

We perform diagnostics and care for patients with a wide range of hematological and hemato-oncological diagnoses, including very rare hematopoietic diseases.

Within the ÚHKT complex, we are located on the ground floor of building B. There are a total of 11 outpatient clinics, 4 of which specialize in the care of patients after transplantation, and another 2 outpatient clinics are in operation within the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis (details here). We also have a common collection room, a procedure room (where we perform invasive examinations such as bone marrow puncture and biopsy, lumbar puncture, etc.) and a day clinic serving for the administration of intravenous medications, transfusions, chemotherapy, etc.

List of clinics and contacts

New patient appointment:

by phone: 221 977 315 – urgent cases - call anytime, others please call after 12 noon

We prefer that the patient be ordered directly by the treating physician/general practitioner who requests a hematological examination.

Individual orders in ÚHKT are handled directly by a doctor, so before calling, please review and take in hand the request form for a hematological examination and the report from the sending doctor with laboratory results (i.e. the documents that your doctor gave you to make an appointment for a hematology appointment). The ambulance doctor will ask about the reason for the hematological examination (always stated on the request form) and will determine the date of the examination based on the current laboratory values.

When you arrive at the clinic, take a ticket with a number at the entrance (select the "collections" option). After calling your number, you will first take care of the administration at the reception (have your insurance card and ID ready) and then you will be called by the same number to collect samples. You can shorten the wait for the examination by writing down your medications (including dosages) and personal history (all your past and current illnesses and surgeries). This will not only make our work much easier, but will also significantly shorten the total examination time. However, please reserve at least 4 hours for the initial examination.
