Information for collection

What can you expect when you come to the transfusion unit?

• registration in the register (bring your ID card, proof of health insurance valid in the Czech Republic, donor's identification)
• familiarisation with the Blood Donor Instruction document
• filling in the "Blood Donor Questionnaire"
• blood count
• examination by a doctor
• collection (if everything is in order)
• a repeat blood donor spends approximately 1 hour in our blood transfusion department, a new donor 1-2 hours
• the donation takes 5-10 minutes
• the standard amount of blood collected is 450 ml
