Traineeships in the IHBT

The process of organizing professional traineeships in the IHBT

1. An application for professional traineeship is sent to the IHBT Education Department – by e-mail or post.

2. The institute’s education officer gets in touch with the senior consultant/head of the respective division/department (or his/her deputy) where the traineeship will take place, and will find out whether the traineeship is possible in that division/department at the requested time, and will agree on the supervisor's name.

3. Afterwards, the officer will send an application form for professional traineeship to the applicant. The applicant will fill it in and send (or deliver personally) to the Education Department.

4. The education officer will prepare a contract based on a previously agreed pattern (or, as the case may be, in cooperation with the IHBT’s lawyer); in case of foreign applicants always in cooperation with the IHBT’s lawyer:

  • Two page contract.
  • Three page contract.
  • The officer will select the traineeship type; in case of specialization traineeship, the officer will indicate the specialization and complete the annexed program. Based on the traineeship number of days, she will calculate the traineeship fee and send it to the applicant.

5. The applicant will check the contract, ensure that it is signed and stamped, pay the traineeship fee and send the contract back to the Education Department.

6. The education officer will check the terms of the contract and forward it to the Director's Secretariat for signature. She will send the signed contract back to the applicant.

7. On the day when the traineeship starts, the applicant will come to the Education Department at 08:00 where he/she will receive introductory information, will be instructed about general safety and health at work and fire protection, will receive his/her nameplate and changing room keys, will be introduced to the main supervisor and get a detailed traineeship plan.

Personal data given will be used only for the purpose of arranging a professional traineeship. A traineeship can take place only after the contract is signed by the IHBT Director or his authorized deputy, and after the payment of the traineeship fee and in compliance with other conditions stated in the contract.
