The IHBT has been here more than 70 years for all those who need really specialized care. First of all, we cater for patients with tumoral and often also very rare blood diseases. Therefore, no catchment area system exists here. Our patient can become any person having a recommendation of an outpatient hematologist.

At the same time, the IHBT often acts as a superconsiliary establishment for other hematological centres. However, consultation requests can be submitted to us not only by physicians, but also by patients themselves. In case of need, we will offer them a second opinion and, as the case may be, suggest a suitable follow-up procedure.
