Students
Postgraduate Education for Scientific Researchers
UHKT is intensively involved in the preparation of postgraduate students. Postgraduate scientific training is organized in cooperation with the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (UK), and other university workplaces. Doctoral and diploma students are trained in various departments of UHKT, and their dissertation, master's, diploma, and bachelor's theses are supervised by experts in collaboration with doctoral and diploma supervisors. Some university graduates from UHKT with the required qualifications are members of field councils for postgraduate scientific education at various Charles univeristy faculties, and some act as supervisors for doctoral and diploma students.
Undergraduate Medical Education
The education of medical students is conducted within the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Hematology of the First Faculty of Medicine (UKEH) and has been ongoing since 2003 under the leadership of the director of ÚKEH, who is also the director of ÚHKT. This joint workplace of ÚHKT and the First Faculty of Medicine, UK, has significantly contributed to improving undergraduate education in hematology and transfusion medicine through seminars and internships. The education is also provided in English.
