Education

The Education Department provides professional training for employees ÚHKT and participates in the organization of internships for external applicants at all levels of education, namely for students of secondary medical schools, medical students, doctoral students, and healthcare professionals in preparation for specialization education.

ÚHKT has educational programs approved by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic for the fields of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (for doctors) and in the field of Clinical Hematology and Transfusion Service for laboratory methods specialists (OPLM) and for medical laboratory technicians. In these fields, the Subdepartment of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine of the IPVZ with higher level accreditation is included as a teaching workplace. The head of the Subdepartment of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is Prof. MUDr. Jaroslav Čermák, CSc., who is also the guarantor for postgraduate education of doctors in the field of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. The subdepartment participates in education in hematology and transfusion medicine also in other medical and non-medical fields, where hematology is part of the educational program. It also has an accredited educational program for general nurses, namely for the field of Nursing Care in Oncology and Hemato-Oncology.
