Education

The Education Department ensures the professional training of UHKT employees and participates in organizing internships for external applicants at all levels of education. This includes students from secondary medical schools, medical students, doctoral candidates, and healthcare professionals preparing for specialized training.

UHKT has educational programs approved by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic for the fields of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (for doctors) and Clinical Hematology and Transfusion Service for specialized laboratory method workers (OPLM) and medical laboratory technicians. In these fields, it is designated as a teaching workplace of the Subdepartment of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at IPVZ with higher-level accreditation. The head of the Subdepartment of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine is Prof. MUDr. Jaroslav Čermák, CSc., who is also the guarantor for postgraduate education of doctors in the field of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. The Subdepartment is involved in education in hematology and transfusion medicine in other medical and non-medical fields where hematology is part of the educational program. Additionally, it has an accredited educational program for general nurses in the field of Nursing Care in Oncology and Hemato-oncology. Experts across ÚHKT participate in the education as trainers.
