OP RDE: Advanced Immunomonitoring and Immunotherapy of Hematological and Hemato-oncological Patients

The project "Advanced Immunomonitoring and Immunotherapy of Hematological and Hemato-oncological Patients", which is co-funded by the European Union, is underway at the IHBT.

  • Project Reg. No.: CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/16_025/0007428
  • Beneficiary: Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion
  • Start of project implementation: 1 January 2018
  • Completion of the project: 31 January 2022

Implementation of the project will enable the introduction of diagnostic methods for the determination of immunosuppressive escape mechanisms of leukaemia cells, which should be used to select individualised immunotherapy for haemato-oncology patients.

Another goal is to establish procedures for T-lymphocyte expansion capable of recognizing leukemia cell antigens in AML patients and to establish monitoring of immune reconstitution in patients after HSCT to identify patients with inadequate immune reconstitution.

The main objectives of the project also include the identification of markers predicting long-term in vivo persistence of transferred multivirus-specific T-lymphocytes and their monitoring in treated patients, as well as the construction of a new generation of CAR-T-lymphocytes.
